The Aquaphor J.Shmidt 500 is an electric-pump filtration pitcher that brings under-counter-grade filtration to a portable format. Fill it with tap water, and the built-in rechargeable pump pushes water through the filter at the press of a button.
Its 0.1-micron hollow-fiber membrane delivers manufacturer-tested 99.99% filtration of bacteria and chlorine-resistant cysts, while the Aqualen ion-exchange fiber reduces chlorine and heavy metals for better taste. The body is shock-resistant Tritan copolyester, and a filter-life indicator tells you when a replacement is due.
